Sysvol Netlogon missing

G

Guest

We recently replaced a Win2k DC with another Win2k Server. We keeped the
other and added this one as a domain controller once everything was up and
running we transferred all FSMO roles to the new server. Once all the roles
where transferred and we rebooted the sysvol and netlogon shares from both
servers were gone. We are at a point where we are stuck, any help or ideas
would be greatly appreciated. We are NTFRS errors in the event log 13508-13566

We got this error once the roles were changed over to the new server

File replication service is scanning data in the system volume. Computer
XXXX cannot become a domain controller until this process is complete. The
system volume will the be shared as SYSVOL

thanks for you help in advance.

Well any gpo's will be gone hopefully you can recover them plus any AD DFS
info, etc...

Follow the article below and this should at least get you back up and
running. Then you can figure out what to do from there.
