Systray icons

After upgrading to Windows XP SP2, neither the "power
options" icon nor the "Sounds" icon will appear
consistently in the Systray. I've selected them not to
appear, re-booted, then selected to have them not appear,
and re-booted, to no avail. They may stay through one re-
boot, and then they're gone again.

My thought is that MS contracted certain portions of SP2 development to
the same developers who did Windows 95. SP2 has many of the same
problems with keeping its settings straight.
