systray icons, duplicates

In the customize section where you can hide, show, hide when inactive
systray icons we have many duplicate icons because we've installed a program
twice and removed it once. Is there anywhere that we can go (regedit, etc.)
to delete the recurring icons rather than have them pile up in the customize
box?

Delete the IconStreams and PastIconsStream values from the following
registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\
CurrentVersion\Explorer\TrayNotify
