It sounds like you have some sort of popup blocker on the system. What
third-party blockers do you have installed? What changed between the
time things worked and the time they didn't?

I havent changed anything on my computer, one minute it was fine next day i
started up it was just slow, the only pop blocker i have is the one that came
with windows, and i have allowed that to let ebays pop ups. So i have no idea
what is happening.

I hate it when that happens. Are you sure you don't have some kind of
browser protection in place from something like Spybot Search &
Destroy? How do you connect to the Internet? Maybe your ISP has a
blocker? Does this happen on any other sites? Is the eBay site you are
trying to access a secure site?

Malke

I'm pretty sure there is no browser protection, I'ts not a secure site and it
is only through ebay it happens, I hook up by ADSL. I have a firewall would
this effect it, i haven't changed anything though. I'm only new at this
computer thing which doesn't help, gotta learn somehow, trial and error.
Thanks for your help.

One more question - do you have either Norton or McAfee
antivirus/security programs? There are blockers in those programs that
could be reacting to the eBay site. If you don't, then I really have no
idea why you are having problems with this one site. Try emptying your
Temporary Internet Files cache. Deleting Temporary files would be good,
too.

For IE's Temporary Files, go to Control Panel>Internet Options>General
tab. You'll see where you can delete cookies and files. For Firefox,
clear its cache by going to Tools>Options>Privacy>Cache> Clear. For
Windows Temporary files, Start>Run cleanmgr [enter]. To clear Sun
Java's cache, Start>Settings>Control Panel>Java applet>Cache>Clear or
follow the same path to the Java applet and then to
General>Settings>Delete files.

Malke

Ok i've deleted all the temporary files and still having same problem. I have
norton anti virus on my computer.

Just one suggestion: Try to login to another account and access the
web site. If it functions properly, then the issue is with your profile
and a setting for IE or some application setting.

Yes. You have XP SP2, right? In IE on the Tools menu there is an entry
for "Manage Add-ons". See if the eBay Toolbar is listed and if it is,
it is probably disabled. If that doesn't apply (or work), then probably
one of your antispyware programs removed some or all of the eBay
Toolbar files. Reinstall it from eBay.

Malke

I uninstalled toolbar and reinstalled it and at the moment everything seems
fine, Thank you so much for all of your help, will post again if i start
having trouble. You taught me few things on the way!!!!!!
