System32 Folder opens whenever booting up

Greetings,

I've developed a problem: every time I start up my system, the System32
folder is open on the desktop.

I've looked through the Microsoft troubleshooting database and found an
appropriate article (170086), but I find the instructions vague for my level
of expertise. I've looked through the two registry keys referenced in the
article (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run and
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run) and I could
find none that had quotation mark probably. I did find an entry that looked
suspicious:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
Name: (DEFAULT)
Type: REG_SZ
Data: (value not set)

This was the very first entry at the top of the list.

Does this look like the culprit? If so, can the whole entry be safely
deleted? If not, is there another fix for the problem?

Go down the page to item 260 - click on the one on the right hand side
*System32 Folder opens upon boot* to download a .vbs file and run it. It's a
registry fix relating to the Microsoft article you mentioned - saves you
having to edit the registry yourself. However setting a Restore Point before
running the file is MOST advisable. I wouldn't go deleting any reg files
without expert assistance - leave this one:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
Name: (DEFAULT)
Type: REG_SZ
Data: (value not set)
