System32 folder opening on boot

I found a related thread and I'm having the same problem - the
C:\Windows\System32 folder opens every time I boot. There is nothing in
msconfig or the Startup folder that seems to be the culprit.

I used the article from MS Support to check the registry. In the two keys
mentioned, there are no null or blank values, with one exception. The first
value in each key is "(Default)". In both cases, the value is "(value not
set)". Those are the only "null" values, but I don't think I can delete
(Default), can I?

I also checked hte keys "RunOnce" and "RunOnceEx". The only values they
have is (Default), and they are not set.

Like another poster in that thread, I have data of "1" for some
"OptionalComponents" values. These are not file names, but I think they're
flags, and, so, probably not the problem.

Any other ideas?
