System Volume Information - access how?

There's a virus in a file in System Volume Information on my PC.
I've tried logging in as Administrator - but still I can't access the
folder.
Any ideas how to gain access would be much appreciated.

Go to Control Panel, System, System Restore. Turn off System Restore, reboot and turn it back on. This will flush the restore points, and the infected file along with them.
