System Volume Informaiion Infected

My Virus checker has alerted me to an infected folder which it cannot access
nor can I. This is the file on my external backup hard drive.
F:\System Volume
Information\_restore{D46643AE-DBFO-48A5-A582_23A306Ba4CF8}\RP1524\A0277711.EXE
Can anyone tell me how to get access to this file or how to remove it or the
virus?

This is a System Restore point. There isn't any reason for System
Restore to be monitoring your external hard drive anyway. Go to Control
Panel>System>System Restore and turn off System Restore monitoring on
the external drive. Reboot and that folder will be gone.

I'll second Malke, system restore does nothing for you on a non system
drive, turn it off for that drive.

Thank you Malke that did the trick. It worked just as you said it would.
