System takes 100% CPU

I have Windows XP Pro SP2 with all updates installed. The problem I am
having is that right after the system startup, the CPU is taken control by
the System at 95% to 100%. I have reformatted the hard drive and reinstalled
the operating system but still the same problem. When logon via Safe Mode, I
don't have this problem; although I did not test this in the old install.

Any Ideas,

Hi Steve:

The fact that your performance improves in Safe Mode indicates that your
problem is caused by something that loads with Windows. A process of
elimination will identify the culprit:
