system standby failed

when I try to put the computer(Dell Dimension) on standby
I get the subj. message followed by "The device driver
for communications port(com 1) device is preventing the
machine from entering standby. If the problem persists
you may need to update this driver. This happened after
installing Quicken 2004. I have Quicken 2004 on a HP
Pavillion running Windows 98 without a problem. How can I
solve this issue? Thanks

....if you're not dialing up with Com1 turn it off in the
BIOS setup - F2 I think on a Dell.
