Hi,

i have the following error when the system in standby mode.

"The device driver for the "Standard 101/102-Key or
Microsoft Natural PS/2 Keyboard" device is preventing the
machine from entering standby. Please close all
applications and try again. If the problem persists, you
may need to update this driver."

i found the article Q314118 and Q814149 in microsoft
website. But in my system, i have no such program
installed.

Please advise...

Hi,

You have a standard keyboard driver installed. If you have a keyboard with
multimedia buttons or other functions, you need to install a driver from the
manufacturer. The 101/102 driver just provides basic keyboard function, it
does not support any add-on buttons.

Hi,

Any laptop would have a specialized driver, see if there is one on any
application recovery disks you recieved, or if it is available as a download
from Compaq (www.hp.com).
