Cannot HIbernate or Standby

I receive the error message "The device driver for the 'Standard 101/102-Key
or Microsoft Natural PS/2 Keyboard' device is preventing the machine from
entering standby. Please close all applications and try again. If the problem
persists, you may need to update this driver. I am using Windows XP Home
Edition.
I recently got Verizon DSL and believe this is when this problem started.
Any idea's other than contacting Verizon what I can do to correct this?
Thanks

:

It's a driver problem caused by the installation of the Verizon
software. No there is no simple software that will diagnose and resolve
the problem.
