system shuts down while playing RCT2

My computer continues to shut off when I play Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 with the
Wacky Worlds Expansion. I have tried playing it without the expansion and it
still shuts down. The error report reads "The system has recovered from a
critial error". I know it is very bad for the system to be shut down like
this and microsoft seems unable to answer my questions about this problem. Is
there a glitch in the game? Is there a worm in my system that I'm missing? Is
there something that I can do to the game so that it doesn't crash my
computer everytime I play? And it isn't like it's just one object or a
certain point in the game, it can happen at anytime and at any point in the
game. PLEASE HELP! I dont want to have to throw out the game!

Hello.

Have you got any error codes (usually something like 1x808000) or files
names (usually ending with .dll or .sys) with the error?

If not try having a look in Event Viewer which can be found in Control
Panel -> Adminstrative Tools. Have a look under the System and Application
categories to see if you can see any extra information that can help narrow
down the cause of the problem.
