System restore

My System restore (Wins XP Home) does not record restore points
automatically. I have to manually set restore points. But when I go back
after a couple of days to check on the restore points, they are gone! And
there still are no new ones set.
I have "Panda Anti-Virus Titanium" and "Zone Alarm Pro4" and everything says
that my system is not infected nor has security been breached.
Any ideas?
