HPBOIDPS.DLL is the "HP Status Server Proxy Stub Module" which is used
by a number of different HP printer models.

Try uninstalling your HP printer(s) and the let the system remove any
files that it thinks are no longer needed (if it asks about these).
Reboot the computer and then reinstall the printer(s), making sure
that you have the latest driver versions from the HP website.

Good luck

Hi Jenny,

Check and see if System Restore is set to monitor drives/partitions
other than the one Windows is installed on. In particular, the HP
recovery partition. Set System Restore only monitor the Windows
partition. Then retry System Restore.

How to disable a monitored drive:

Ron,

I just wanted you to know how much your help was. I did a complete
deletion, including scrubbing and removal of H Key stuff to get really
deleted. It worked. Im pretty sure the restore is working. Also it fixed a
problem I was having with audio streaming from the net. (I don't know why)
But thank you so very much.

Ron's suggestion did restore the printer and I can now listen to the audio
stream. (I have no idea what that had to do with the audio stream) My
system restore doesn't work. Still trying to find answer to that.

Thank you guys so much.

Hi Bert,

I get the restore window and it says it cannot restore and that no changes
have been made.

I have run all virus scans, ad aware to get rid of junk. Turned off
restore, booted, turned on restore, test folder on desktop, created a restore
point, booted, restored to test restore point. Restore removed the test
folder so that restore worked but after that restore fails again.

This is something I found in my System Information:

NAME DESC. FILE

SZKG SZKG C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\SZKG.SYS

STARTED START MODE STATE STATUS ERR. CONTROL

NO BOOT STOPPED OK NORMAL

ACCEPT PAUSE ACCEPT STOP

NO NO

I did a search for this file but it does not show up even in hidden files.

I don't know how to get rid of it.

Any help?

Thanks,

Jenny
