System Restore

Sorry, this is a very basic question regarding what is
and is not changed.
If I restore to a date prior to when I downloaded SP2,
will I have to download it again, or will it still be
installed?
What about other downloaded applications/programs? Will
they "go" or still be there.

Hi

If you use System Restore to go back to a point before you installed SP2,
your system will revert to the previous version. You will then have to
reinstall SP2 at a later date.

The apps/programs will still be there, but the references to those programs
in the Registry will be lost and so may not work properly, if at all.
 
Thanks, I feared as much. So, I'll just have to tackle
the problem areas one at a time - do it the hard way!
 
No need to go it alone - run your problems past us.

Besides, if you solve your problems, you'll understand how to avoid them in
future. Not so if you just blow them away.

What may make you use SR? What, if any problems, are you having with SP2?
