Restores points may not appear if, among other reasons 1) none were set;
2) they were set too long ago; 3) something wiped them out, such as
deleting them, possible virus, or even defragmenting your drive.
Please check if the System Restore service is stopped. You might have done this when your computer is infected by some virus. If it's okay to have all the restore points removed and start all over again, try these steps
1. Click Start -> Ru
2. In the Open edit box type the following command
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\Restore\rstrui.exe /makefirstrestorepoin
3. Click O
4. Then restart the compute

Just a note, when you disable or turn off restore, you'll
lose (erase) all of your previous restore points. Make
sure you create a new a new restore point when you enable
system restore.
