system restore question

in win xp i had showing when i opened system restore my c drive and also my
two ext hard drives, and could do a restore point for all of them. but in
vista basic it only shows my d and c drive, how can i add my two ext hdd to
system restore.
thanks for any help on this as i cannot find an answer within windows
anywhere.

I just did a search here for you & you need to be warned... Here is a quote:

System restore is working fine for me. However, if you dual boot, i.e., you
have XP and Vista on the system, when you boot to XP the system restore
points on Vista are deleted. This is a known issue which, apparently, will
not be fixed. Only way round the problem, if you dual boot, is to use a
third party boot manager instead of Vista's boot manager or, if you have
Ultimate edition, use bitlocker encryption.
