Hello everybody i'm Bash2a.

I have a problem with my system restore in Windows XP.

I wanted to restore something that i did in my guest account because i
allowed things to be installed to it without my permission by accident. So i
tryed doing system resotre and it said that system restore is incomplete i
did this 5 times and it didn't work. i also tried to do system restore on a
program that i installed but it didn't work either.

Yes i checked the settings and everything was the way it was suppost to, to
make system restore work. HELP?

NOTE: i also have an anti-virus software called Norton 360. does this affect
system restore? if so, how can i fix this?

As an adjunct to Gerry's reply, it's best to first uninstall any unwanted
software using Add/Remove programs, and then use system restore to go back
to a previous date. Using system restore to remove a software install only
deals with monitored files which can leave other parts of the install still
around.

Let's see if System Restore will function in Safe Mode.

Boot into Safe Mode and perform a test restore using the following link.

If there are any Norton applications installed, take a look at this page.
