System Restore points unavailable

Hi, I really need some help here. I tried to install some antivirus/spyware
software that really messed up my computer. I want to do a sytem restore, but
am unable to do so. No dates are available on the calendar, and I can't
change the month. Despite this, I have system restore monitoring all my
drives, and checked for sr and srservice events, coming up with no errors.
Could someone please help me to run a system restore, or figure out another
way to restore my computer to another time point? Any help would be
appreciated. Thanks

Steve

You have described a computer setup that has not created any restore
points and therefore has no restore points. I am not aware of a fix
or repair under these circumstances.

Hi Steve,

Use this information to paste the event error here so we can take a look.

Go to Start - Run and type eventvwr.msc and press enter.
Click on System in the left pane.
Click the gray title "Source" at the top of the source name column in the right pane to
sort by source name, look for "sr" and "srservice".
Double click on each of these events, then click on the button below the two arrows in the
upper right corner. This will copy the event information to the clipboard. Paste the
information for each of the two event here. This will help us in diagnosing the problem.
