System restarts while opening the XPS file.

I am using Windows XP on Dell Optiplex 755 PC with service pack 3. After
installing the XPS viewer from microsoft site i am unable to open the XPS
file. Whenever I try to open the XPs file system restarts

Please advice what to do to solve this problem.

The system is crashing. Turn off "restart on crash" so that you can at
least see the error code. Right-click on My Computer, choose Properties,.
then Advanced, Startup and Recovery, click Settings and remove the checkmark
from "automatically restart". Click Apply/OK back to the desktop.

The next time it crashes, you should see an error code that will contain
cryptic but useful information.
