System Reboots on it's own

I have the same exact problem I am seeing from everyone else. the system reboots for no apparent reason, and I get the "recovered from serious error" message. When I look at the details, I see this

BCCode : 100000be BCP1 : F9C41DD6 BCP2 : 03B18121 BCP3 : 8053E1A
BCP4 : 0000000A OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 1_0 Product : 768_1

Seems to be related to Internet Explorer, but I can't be sure

I have yet to see a definitive 'fix'. Downloading a 30 meg patch (with dialup, mind you) may work, but I can't be sure the system won't crash during the download

Anybody have the solution to this problem???????
