Ever since I upgraded to Win 2000 from Win 98SE, my system
occasionally reboots itself when I close a program, i.e.,
Word, Excel, QuickBooks, IE 6.

The Knowledge Base doesn't seem to have an answer. Does
anyone have experience with this, and, hopefully, an
answer?

Thanks

I had a similar occurrence with my win 2000 computer. It turned out
to be the ms-blaster worm infection. Check your Task Manager /
Processes - if you see the word "blast" in the list, you probably have
it. But if you can turn on your machine, you can't do that. So I
would suggest go to a friends computer, and search the Microsoft site
for the BLASTER worm and I think there is info on how to get your
computer back to a working state, if it keeps re-booting....
