Win2k rebooting

D

Dirk

I have a win2k pro system that ran fine until recently. We
finally got around to upgrading to I.E. 6. Since then,
When ever we try to launch a MS office app, or an open
office app, or try to print from other apps (such as
quicken) the system reboots. No warning or shutdown screen
or even BSOD. It just reboots. Not all apps do display
this behavior. ex. Gimp2.0 fer Windoze just fine.

I've scrubbed the tasklist and run NAV corporate edition,
as well as AVG. The system is behind a firewall, and
except for the delay in upgrading ie to 6 (we use Mozilla
primarily)it is kept up to date on patches.

Any ideas?

Look in the event viewer to find the cause of the rebooting.
Either application or system logged message.
