System Properties and System Info

My system properties under the general tab shows I have 512 MB of memory,
when I check it in system info I get 384MB of memory, have run memtest-86
3.3v for sixteen hours and have no errors, also BIOS lists 512MB of memory.
Tried memory in different slots, with same results. What am I overlooking ?

board video ram?

Remove one stick and then check and post back what you see with system
properties and system info.

Removed a 256 stick of memory and System Info went to 128MB , and system
properties was at 256 MB. Just a note, I have six other systems and all the
memory matches in them!

Is it possible that you do have an on-board video chip and it has not been
disabled in the BIOS?

Motherboard is an ASUS K7V OLD!!! Slot A, BIOS is latest version. Tried
different memory speeds and timing with the same result, don't know if this
info will help anyone.

Ran memtest86 version3.3 four times in different configurations, and all
tests showed 512MB.
