System Postin problem

Hi guys, I have a really annoying posting problem. See if you can help
me out.

First of all the spec of the machine.

Amd XP2000
Stock HS&F
Crucial 512mb on 1 stick of ram
40gb IDE Samsung HD 7200 Rpm 2mb cache
Magna 250 watt PSU
Abit KV7-V Mobo
Standard DVD IDE drive
Geforce FX 5200 graphics card

Well basically it all started with the same spec as above apart from
the motherboard. One day the machine just refused to post after
running for 6 months straight as a DNS server. So I took it apart and
had a look and everything seemed fine, So as you do , I one by one
removed the different parts, reset the Cmos pressed the power button
to remove the rest of the power and removed the different parts doing
the following procedure on each one. Still no luck

So I removed the parts and replaced the parts with parts from my
desktop machine, still no post. The machine is running award bios and
is giving off 1 short beep everytime the machine starts. The only
thing I had not swapped was the Mobo and the PSU. I did swap the
memory, CPU, HS&F, HD,Graphics card and even all the cables.
Still nothing.

So I spoke to a few people and they said it must be your mobo. So I
brought a new mobo the Abit KV7-V Mobo in fact also thought ide get a
new HD while I was here as well, and guess what no post. So can I now
assume that that the only thing left to try is the PSU. Does anyone
else have any other suggestions? Cos im stumped if I can guess
anymore.

Many Many thanks,

Many Many thanks,

It definitely could be the power supply. I wouldn't spend any more money
till you check the system with a different PSU.
