system keeps cutting off and on

Please help: system keeps cutting off and on
automatically every 5 to 10 minutes.
Ibm Aptiva built 2000 model 84u Pent III 800mhz,256
IBM ram(changed memory mod), changed MB battery.
Just wiped clean HD, updated Bios, updated from 98 to win
XP Pro (twice)
Installed all Microsoft updates and other misc software.
