system is locking up

My system seems to be locking up all the time. It started when we were just using the internet and now it freezes up when I'm using support. Why could be the problem? I restored my computer with the boot disk but that didn't work! Help!!
 
This could be caused by many things. The first thing that comes to mind though is bad RAM. Download Memtest and run it. That will tell you if your memory is bad or not. If that checks out okay, then do a virus scan and an adware scan. You can find free programs on the Internet that do this
