System Information not working

The system information program on my computer says that it can't collect
information... and then it goes on to say that it cannot access the Windows
Management Instrumentation software (WMI) Windows Management files may be
moved or missing... how can I fix this problem?

You could repair install the XP from original CD if you got with your
system. If not how about giving your system a spring clean by using
restore Cd from your Pc vendor? You should backup your data to avoid
any loss.
