system information missing

When I try to access start/all programs/accessories/system tools/system
information, alI I get is the error message
"Cannot access Windows Management Instrumentation software. It may have
been moved or is missing"
This is likely to have happened some time ago, as I haven't needed to
refer to it for quite a while, so I cannot recall what I might have done
then!
I have XP Home ed. SP2.

Any help much appreciated.!!

hello,

I would recommend going to the Microsoft website to see if thay have a
download for the problem. I had a similar issue. If that does not help,
you may need to comtact Microsoft or possibly reinstall windows. There
is obviously a file missing in your windows system32 folder, so this is
all i can recommend,
