lost system info

when trying to access system info
i get:

can't collect information

cannot access the windows management instrumentation software. windows
management files may be moved or missing.

what happened ??
help ???

Make the following services are started.

Control Panel (Classic View) > Administartive Tools > Services

Locate and start the following services "Event Log", "Windows Management
Instrumentation" and "Remote Procedure Call (RPC)".

Event Log - Should be set to Automatic and Started.
Windows Management Instrumentation - Should be set to Automatic and Started
Remote Procedure Call (RPC) - Should be set to Automatic and Started

Go to Start > Run and type: MSCONFIG , and hit enter.
Under the General tab, place a dot next to "Normal Startup",
click Apply and Reboot your computer.
