Random systems accross our college campus lab enviroment have been displaying
the "The system has recovered from a serious error." The systems use
Centurian Guard technologies, which lock the hard drive, preventing user
changes. An OIT technician must go unlock the system and clear the error
message.

I have managed to aquire one of the MINI Dump files from a system displaying
the error. Can anyone shed some light on how to understand the informaiton
contained within? I have instlled the Microsoft Debugger tools, but don't
really understand what the information displayed is pointing me to.

I can email the minidump file if anyone is fluent in deciphering them.

Thanks,

Will,

Thanks for the information. We may eventually turn off the feature, but the
college demands we discover what is initally causing the system to crash in
the first place.
Since I am not able to observe what the students are doing to cause the stop
errors, I need to disect the minidump file.

Thanks,

I have managed to load the file, but I really do not understand what I am
looking at. I have a couple different minidump files, and they each seem to
be pointing to a different cause. I'll have to do some more investigation.
