system goes to sleep during setup

I am trying to insatll windows xp sp1 on a new machine,
but my computer goes to sleep when it trie to install
devices.
 
Open the BIOS and disable any power management settings.

I finally found my trouble!
Initially I had a Radeon 7500 6mbddr video card, out of
pure curiosity I used a radeon 7000 32mbddr and all my
setup and startup issues dissappeared. Pass it on if it
helps. I,ll check this post again if you need other
information about this issue.
