I have XP Pro that I applied the downloaded SP1 on .

If I do a sfc/ scannow and insert my original XP CD will it overwrite my SP1
stuff?

No. When you upgraded to SP1 a copy of the newer files was saved to your hard drive and the location of the stored files is recorded in the Registry. SFC checks there and uses the newer version when present.
