"System failed CPU test"

Whenever I play Return to Castle Wolfenstein, the game plays just fine with
all the sound effects. But every 5 - 10 minutes or so, the voice says
"System failed CPU test".
But the game goes right on playing and doesn't miss a lick. This is a
Barton core 2800 cpu on an Asus
A7N8X Deluxe ver 2 mobo. Running Samsung PC3200
memory (the ones Asus recommends). I tried turning off the voice in cmos,
but it still talks to me. Weird??

My system does that as well. It is an A7V8X with an Athlon
1700 installed.

I found it difficult at first to understand what the voice
was saying.... initially all I could hear was "system fail
to do da" repeated endlessly until I rebooted.

I finally figured out she was saying "system failed cpu
test" when I manually installed the voice editor and played
all the choices.

Either my hearing is very bad or her english is not well spoken.

If you ever do find an answer I too am looking for a way to
keep her quiet.....

Well, mine speaks it very clearly. But I don't have to reboot or anything.
The system works just fine. I ran
Asus Probe and left it running in the background while playing the game.
After an hour or so, I went back and checked the temp rise while playing and
it was only 1 degree. Up to 42 deg. C. So heat is not the problem.
I suspect it to be just an annoyance. Maybe future bios upgrades will fix
it.
