A7N8X system failed memory test, unable to boot

I think I am SOL with my A7N8X deluxe v2.0 My system was working until
I bumped the fsb from 180 to 185. It restarted but only display part
of the bios setup screen. After that all I get is voice reporter
saying System failed memory test once and then nothing. No boot. All
components are tested. Two sets of cpu, memory, power supply. All
good. Strip down to just power and board. Popped out battery and reset
cmos. System failed memory test.

What is the quickest way to rma my board with Asus?

prolly just a corrupted bios, badflash.com is your friend here. Also, the
a7n8x family hate crap ram. I have only corsair in mine.

If you reset the CMOS, the FSB will be 100MHz, and it'll work. Resetting
the CMOS is not always as obvious as you might think, just make sure you
follow the manual.

i have had that happen before when I went from 200 to 215..I
shutdown...unplugged power cord...moved jumper to reset...pulled battery and
then redid it all..just on an off chance..reseat mem or put it in different
slot.
I have an A7N8X-deluxe rev2.0..Barton 2500@200 with 3x256 OCZ PC3200EL...and
if board has failed...tell them you run a small business and ask for an
Advanced RMA..they will send the paperwork via e-mail (after you FAX back)
and mail out a board...if it passes their tests you will be charged for a
new one..so make sure it is done in. I had my paperwork all set up to go
back..ran 1 more test and all was fine.Lay it all on on piece of cardboard
connect components and try a "benchtest"..just to make sure of no ground
issues(with case) or EMF issues.Good luck.

Mine was going back due to mem controller failure plus I have the rare APIC
issue...can not have it enabled at all.The mem was fixed by moving my ram
around since 1 stick did not match other 2.

Yeah the board is done in for sure. How can I get the RMA process
started with Asus?
