I have been having problems starting my card reader in my hp1215 printer for some time. This is the error I receive. I have tried updating my printer drivers from HP, and even had an extended support issue with them but nothing helps. Does any one have any ideas? I am connected with usb, and I am running XP Pro.

6/16/2004 8:36:53 AM Application Error Error None 1000 N/A comp1 Faulting application hphmon03.exe, version 3.5.11.0, faulting module unknown, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x000009d8.

You say you have been having trouble for some time...Did it ever work? If
the answer is yes, then what has changed since then (ie; installed programs
possibly causing conflicts, or anything else you can think of)...No Luck
with HP support? They should be able to help you (I know, the key word is
"Should"). Have you tried to uninstall card reader, and re-install? Just
some ideas to think about. Sorry I can't be more help. Good luck.

Ok, sorry I couldn't be more help. I had an internal reader on another
system I built, and it worked fine (XP wizard came up normally when media
was inserted), and then one day for no apparent reason, it just stopped
bringing up the wizard. I tried everything, but ended up putting a shortcut
to the "Drive" on the desktop. Never did find out what the deal was. I now
have a different reader in a different system, and so far, so good...Well,
best of luck to you.

It used to work 99.9% of the time. It stopped working reliably after the
installation of a USB connection for broadband. I have completely removed
and reapplied the drivers and this works until I reboot. I just found out I
could navigate to the removable storage, so I guess I will just use that for
now until I can find a better solution.
