System Date Error?

Something is causing my system time and date to revert to 1/1/2003 each time
I reboot. I can correct it in Setup, but the next reboot takes me back to
2003. This is creating havoc with some digital certificates. How can I find
out what is corrupting the clock? Any ideas?

How about your CMOS battery? It could be dead which reverts the CMOS to
it's default date/time.

That's a good thought. Thanks.

But wouldn't a dead CMOS battery affect other aspects of my system as well?

The CMOS battery powers the CMOS chip. The rest of your computer gets
its power from the wall.
