System crashes when printing

I have a windows 2k sp4 machine that has an hp 1700 shared out on it.
When one of the other three people who share the office try to print to
the hp 1700 it cause the workstation with the printer attached to
crash. The tree other people in the office are running windows 2k
sp4. In the event log I get the following error

Event Source: Print
Event Type: Error
Event Category: None

Description:
Document Lift Stoppage 04-05 working copy.xls was corrupted and has
been deleted. The associated driver is: HP Color Inkjet CP1700.

I have already deleted the print drivers, the usb printer drivers, the
usb drivers and reinstalled them. I've checked the network setting and
tested the network.

Try cleaning up the spooling system per
http://members.shaw.ca/bsanders/CleanPrinterDrivers.htm.

Then get the HP 1700 driver ("HP Colour Inkjet Printer CP1700 WHQL
ceritified driver - Add printer (lite)") from the HP web site -
http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/support.html and see how that works.
