i am getting the following info: page_fault_in_nonpaged_area

the system will continuously reboot itself unless i leave it unplugged for a
minute or so. any thoughts as to what this could be. nothing new installed or
removed. just decided to crash on me without any warning!! if more info is
needed, please don't hesitate to ask. thanks in advance...

Start with memory. Open the case and reseat the memory sticks. Does it
boot? If not remove one of the sticks and try with just one. If no go
switch. Also you can test the memory. Use at least two of these memory
diagnostic utilities. Let them run for some time, not just a single pass.

Memtest86+

Windows Memory Diagnostic

i removed and reinserted the memory stick--only have one--i ran the memtest
from cd boot and it will not make it thru an entire run. it would never show
any type of reason why it froze, but this morning it said unexpected
interrupt - halting. it then goes on to list a series of numbers. does this
make sense. the computer is 3 years old, not sure of memory life expectancy.
where do i go from here? replace memory?? thanks for your help so far...

I would test it by replacing the memory with a known good stick. You are
using proper anti-static precautions too, right?

thank you for your help. i am using ant-static measures. i went and
purchased a new 1 GB mem stick and replaced the old. now states a device
driver attempting to coorrupt the system has been caught. stop oxooooooc4

Interesting that you swap out a memory module and get this driver error.
It's not one we see posted here very often.

Update all the drivers. Remove all non essential hardware. Test with only
a video card, mouse, keyboard and monitor. Try a different video card.

Troubleshooting hardware.
