Ongoing Strife, WIndows Crashing

In may last year my computer began to frequently crash with the error messages:

IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
STOP: 0x0000000A (Oxc7801988, 0X00000002, 0X00000000, 0X807CA87E)

and

PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
STOP: 0x00000050 (0xBA41B090, 0x00000000, 0xBA41B090, 0x00000000)

It eventually did omething to my BIOS, and I replaced the mainboard a few
months ago. It fixed BIOS, but not this problem. I reformatted my harddrive,
and continued to get the same problem. HOWEVER - I COULDN'T REFORMAT UNLESS
I DISABLED MEMORY CACHING, OR I WOULD GET THE SAME ERROR MESSAGE.

I reformatted again, installed Win XP SP1a and 2, and now it just reboots
randomly without any stop error message. It does this at random intervals.

Also, after installing SP 2 the auto run feature on my mainboard
utility/drivers CD always triggers one of these restarts.

I'm stuck for what to do. It must be a hardware fault right if I've done a
clean install, then it can't be software can it?

And as I said, the error message occurs when reformatting, so it's a brand
new operation involving only the bootable install software from the CD.

I'm wondering if there is a fault with my hard drive, can anyone confirm this?

CHeers,
Am pretty desperate.

During boot up 'detecting' would appear for a few seconds, and then it would
say something like BIOS not detected and something about drivers (however I
could still access BIOS). I've rpelaced the mainboard though, so this no
longer happens. :p
