System crash

Hi,

My computer shuts down on its own from time to time.
This nuisance began when I installed a Wacom tablet a
while ago. Iam using the tablet simultaneously with an
ordinary mouse. It seems to be the mouse that causes
the shut down, never the tablet. I have tried everything
that an ordinary user can i.e. updated drivers, had
different makes of mice, scanned for viruses etc.
The latest error reports say that the problem is caused
by the Nvidia graphics card, the earlier reports never
mentioned the graphics card. So if you have any ideas -
please let me know.

Thanks a lot,
Martti

You may have a damaged preference file.
Perform the following:

1. Click on Start > Search (or find) > All Files and Folders

2. Type "tablet.dat" (no quotes) in the Search for Files and Folders field
3. Change the Look In Field to Local Hard drives and click search
4. Select the tablet.dat file in the Search Results Window and delete it by
pressing the delete key on the keyboard.
5. Restart your computer.

Start | Run <type in> DRWTSN32 <enter>
at the bottom "Application errors" might give a clue to your problem.

Why should the OP do that ?

What will happen then ?
