System Back up

Double click on 'My Computer', and then right click on the drive icon that
you want to backup.. click on the 'Tools' tab and then select the backup
option which will then take you throught the 'Backup Wizard' program..

This assumes that you are using XP Pro in 'classic' mode..
 
If you wish to perform a system backup which requires spanning
multiple CDs, you'll need a full-featured backup program to do so.

Microsoft's backup program is not sophisticated enough to permit
spanning multiple CDs. A full-featured backup program is what you
need. Take a look at: http://www.ntibackupnow.com/default.asp
