Sysprepping a Dual Boot XP PC

Here at work the powers that be would like an image created that will have a
daul bootable XP setup. I created and setup the Dual boots succesfully.
This is where its gets tricky. Before pushing images to our imaging server
we must sysprep the PC that way it clears out the System ID(SID) so our AD
environment doesnt get confused.

So beforee i did any sysprepping the dual boot would give me a choice of
which partition to boot too. I sysprepped one partition and rebooted and the
menu no longer appeared. It just went straight into the non-sysprepped
partition and booted fine. I sysprepped the 2nd and rebooted. It doesnt
give me a boot menu and attempts to go through the windows setup but fails
with and error saying it can't edit the registry. Then rebooted and forced
it to the boot menus with F8 and then selected the other partition...same
result.

Is it possible to save the work i've done so far by reapiring windows? Is
it possible to do a daul boot setup with sysprepping involved?

I searched google and here and didnt find anything so i thought i'd post

thank you for any help,
Rich
