SyncToy Crashing

My SyncToy is crashing, in exactly the same way as mentioned in this
thread:

Problem is, I've got the .NET 1.1 Framework. I've also got 1.0 and 2.0.
I can't figure out any way to get it to work.

I've had the exact same problem. I just ignore it, trudge through MS site to
find the right version and install that. Not like .NET actually does much
anyway.

Are there other versions of SyncToy available? I only see the one,
version 1.2. And it doesn't work for me no matter what configuration of
the .NET framework I have.
