Synchronize access

I have a database that runs on our network (Access 2000). We have
service engineers that go out to our clients sites. I want them to have
a copy of the database that they can update on the road and once they
connect their machines to the network or vpn in I want their database
on their laptop to sync with the main database in the server.

Is this possible, or advisable, I have looked at the access help and
find "Synchronize with another replica set member in a database" Is
this what I need?

Access has the ability to do replication.

It is not easy to set up correctly, but it does work. I found it a daunting
task to set up everything correctly and avoid creating conflicts when
sychronizing, but it does work.

Other than that the standard advice, make a copy of your current database
and experiment with it.
