Permissions and replication

I use an Access 97 database for my business - once a week I need to
synchronize replicas between laptop and desktop
After changing desktop from Pentium 2 Win98 to Pentium 4 WinXP and getting
design master onto the P4, when I synchronize from the laptop the listbox
for "synchronize with" is populated with non-existent replicas from the no
longer in use P2 and I have to get the one I want by browsing. How do I get
rid of these old replica names? I went to table MSysReplicas but It is owned
by "engine" and I can't seem to get around this. I've never put any security
on this database which I created. Is there an area where I can confirm that
I am the owner? Any help, as usual, much appreciated.

Usually these will disappear on their own. Ensure that the path to these
non-existent replicas exists. Then attempt a synch. When it doesn't find
the replica in that path, it'll be deleted from the list.

Thank you Joan,
I guess I have to re-connect the old P2 to the laptop and try the synch -
will report
