synchronization problem

i want to synchronize my files from my desktop with my laptop. I have a lot
of data on my desktop. But i need to synchronize only those files that i
change on daily basis and not all the files. Is it possible for the
synchronization process to synchronize only those files on logging on and
logging off that are changes during the day.
