Symbols in footers?

Hi,

How can I insert a symbol into a ppt footer in the middle of the footer
text? The Insert menu ist not available when filling in the footer...

BTW, I am using Powerpoint 2003...

I assume you're using the View | Header and Footer dialog box?

If so, then you have two choices. Insert the symbols into a textbox on the
slide and copy/paste them into the Header/Footer dialog. Or just type the
text and insert the symbols directly into the footer placeholder on the
slide master.
