My host server stopped supporting FP ext (seems to be a popular trend!)
..
I don't know how to use ftp ... have never used it ... always relied on FP
(HTTP). Do I need to get ftp software to upload using ftp within Frontpage?
Thanks.

try FP's ftp

Actually Rob, that's what I'd like to do ... but don't understand what
information it's asking for. When using FP, I enter the HTTP.www.address.
For ftp (within FP), it has another field and it's asking for the location
of the files, and I don't know the answer. Is it asking for the server
address or the location of the files on my system ... kind-a clueless on
this one!

If I use ftp (within FP) does the host server still need FP extensions, or
can we then toss the FP extensions?
Thanks.

If you use ftp, you don't need FP server extensions. You should contact
your host for the exact ftp path they want you to use, and what login
credentials are required. (they aren't necessarily the same as http
credentials).

Also, if the extensions are installed, and you want to use ftp, ask your
host to uninstall the extensions, so there is no conflict.
